Description
The 2nd Annual Amber Waves of Grain Craft Beer Festival will be held November 4th, 2017 12:00 p.m.-4:30 p.m. at The Shops at Dos Lagos, 2785 Cabot Drive, Corona, CA 92883. This event is organized by veterans for veterans and is designed to bring together craft beer lovers with veterans. This year approximately 40 Microbreweries will be supporting this event by donating all beer being poured. A living Veteran history museum will be created where students, families and individuals can interact with a Pearl Harbor Survivor, an Iwo Jima Veteran, WWII Veterans, Korean War and Vietnam War Veterans. This event has also partnered with the Library of Congress, as part of the Veterans History Project to interview and record personal accounts of our nations Veterans. In addition, there will be a parade featuring Active, Guard and Reserve soldiers representing all branches, military vehicles, JROTC cadets, high school bands as well as military and civic leaders. The event will also include a Veteran Organization Park featuring the Veterans Administration, Disabled American Veterans, Cal-Vets, Salvation Army Homeless Veteran Shelter, American Legion, VFW and numerous non-profit organizations directly supporting our veterans. There will be a military vehicle and historical reenactment park showcasing period uniforms and equipment representing eras from the Continental Army through the Vietnam War. Admission to the museum, military vehicle static display, non-profit Veteran Park and themed events are FREE to the public.
All proceeds will be distributed to non-profit organizations supporting Veterans.
Military Parade
A parade will kick off the event. This years participants include WWII, Korea and Vietnam veterans, historical and current military vehicles, Lake Elsinore High School Band, UCR Pipe and Drum Band, period cars, hisorical reenactment groups and much more.
Living Veteran and Military Museum
This one day military museum will show case World War II memoriablia and equipment. Students, families and individuals are encourage to visit the museum to interact with a Pearl Harbor Survivor, an Iwo Jima Veteran, WWII Veterans, Korean War and Vietnam War Veterans. The museum also partnered with the Library of Congress and Congressman Ken Calvert's office, as part of the Veterans History Project to interview and record personal accounts of our nations combat Veterans.
Historical Re-eancment Group and Military Vehicle Park
Stop by and visit several historical reenactment groups who will be on site to educate, entertain and recreate aspects of a specific military perioed in time from the Continental Marines, Revolutionary War, Civil War, World War I, World War II and the Vietnam War.
Veteran Non-profit Organization Park
Over 30 Veteran non-profit organizations will be present. Each and everyone of these groups provide much needed assistance to local Veterans and their families.
