Description
Friends,
I would like to invite you to the Ground Breaking Ceremony as we here at Habitat for Humanity Riverside are hosting on Thursday, October 19th, 2017 at 10:00 AM to kick off construction on a new CalVet REN housing development in the City of Jurupa Valley. This new community will be built on 5 acres at the end of Amarillo Street in the Glen Avon area, and consist of 26 single family homes including a common community space in the center. These EnergySTAR rated homes will be a mix of three and four bedroom floor plans.
Habitat for Humanity Riverside is building the project in partnership with California Department of Veterans Affairs, the Economic Development Agency of Riverside County, and the City of Jurupa Valley. A key element of this veteran build is to provide veterans and their families with supportive services and no-cost education workshops to help them transition into homeownership and into civilian life. Services include financial literacy training, counseling for post-traumatic stress disorder, and workshops for trauma victims.
DIRECTIONS: From the 60 Freeway, take the Pedley Road exit and go South. Make a right on Mission Bl. Amarillo Street is on the right. Parking is available at the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church located at 8877 Mission Boulevard.
For more information or to RSVP, please contact reply to me, or contact Lauren Hahn at lhahn@habitatriverside.org.
